Fixture: Ardencaple v Antonine

Antonine travelled to Helensburgh to take on Ardencaple in their first competitive match in over two months due to the fierce weather conditions recently.
The away side started brightly, with top goal scorer Adam Boyle managing to get in behind the Ardencaple defence a couple of times, however he was unable to hit the target.
Antonine had a flurry of corners which the home defence were struggling to cope with.
On seven minutes Dean Miller of Antonine had a goal bound shot deflected wide and then Brendan Kelly had a header blocked from the resulting corner.
A Danny Hamilton corner on the twelth minute caused disruption in the home sides six yard box and the Ardencaple keepers attempted punch away went straight to Adam Boyle who headed home, putting the away side 1-0 up.
Ardencaple didn't let their heads drop and seeked to get themselves on level terms, they almost did so when a mistake in the Antonine defence resulted in the Ardencaple number nine firing narrowly wide.
Ardencaple were unlcuky not to see themselves level when they had a shot hit the crossbar, much to the relief of the away contingent.
Dean Miller made it 2-0 to Antonine shortly before half time, volleying home from an Owen Gallagher corner.
The home side then pulled one back after a sliced clearence let the Ardencaple striker in who slotted the ball past Andy Carroll in the Antonine goal.

The second half began with both teams cancelling each other out.
The home side came close ten minutes from time when a deflected shot whistled past the post.
The second half did lack a bit of excitement and neither team created any real chances of note as Ardencaple looked to press the away side, who hit the home side on the break.
Antonine saw the match out to earn the points, a very proffesional performance from both sides.
